The Contemporary Rap Music CD Just isn't the Same as the Old Stuff |

I’m not that keen on the contemporary rap music CD. As with all genres of music, the old school stuff is much better. The modern day rap music CD just isn’t the same as the stuff from the eighties and nineties. It sounds stale and tired by comparison. Generally I prefer any rap music CD or song that Dr. Dre worked on. One of my favorite rap songs of all time is 2Pac’s California Love featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman. There is a great remix of this single on 2Pac’s 1996 double rap music CD album All Eyez on Me. When the rap song California Love was released, I worked in a nightclub to subsidize my college education. Every time the DJ at the club would play it I couldn’t stop myself from dancing. You can see the video clip for California Love above. It might be an old school rap song, but for me it hasn’t lost any of its original appeal. I sincerely believe that California Love is far better than anything you can hear on a rap music CD from the year 2008.
