I like listening to a good oldies music cd, but I also like listening to the new stuff as well. There's some great new bands starting up, bands like Air Raid Anthem out of Las Vegas Nevada, and they have a great new sound. The way I look at it, if all you ever do is listen to an oldies music cd, you're going to miss out on some incredible new music. However, there are times when all I want to do is retreat to the comfortable world of an oldies music cd, there's something therapeutic about it, something healing and comforting about it. But, as I love all kinds of music (I've even found some likeable tunes on rap music cd labels) I don't want to miss out on who's up and coming in the today world of rock music, or other types of music either. So, I try to listen to the new music, and balance that with listening (when I need a fix) to one of my oldies music cd labels. If you want to listen to some of the newest of the new, get on you tube or my space and check out the new artists--there's some great stuff coming out right while I'm typing this blog.
