I've started burning one oldies music CD a week for an upcoming gift for my mother, who really enjoys the oldies. She likes a variety of music, and the oldies for her are songs from the 1950's and 1960's. I do not especially enjoy some of that music, but I download it anyway, and burn them on a CD. I know it will please her to get an Oldies music CD, and to get a lot of them will just thrill her. I may give them to her for Mother's Day, since that is further away than her birthday.
She has XM radio at home and is always tuned into the stations that play that genre of music, but it would be nice for her to be able to go down the road listening to an Oldies music CD. She and my dad travel frequently now that he is retired, and they like road trips for some reason. I myself prefer to fly, but they have all the time in the world, so do not mind a two day road trip to get somewhere to visit their family or friends.
