Kid Rock, a Detroit native is known for blending hip-hop with rock. His new album Rock and Roll Jesus is not just a rock rap music CD like his previous albums. This one is much more mature and has an overall feel of folk mixed in with down home rock. This has been my favorite rock album release since the Kid Rock oldies music CD, Devil Without a Cause. If you are looking for harmonic melodies, toe tapping guitar strums and the classic Kid Rock story telling then you have to pick this one up. I love it.
Don't get me wrong there are a few tracks that bring to life the classic rock rap music CD feel like Sugar. I have attached the unofficial music video for the heart-felt melody called Amen, which really says something about how much Kid Rock has matured. If you like this song, you are going to love the entire album. This album was released back in the beginning of October but I just recently purchased it and can not get enough.
